Yoel Romero Numbered 044/219 #62 | 2014 Topps UFC Knockout

A vintage numbered parallel of one of the most physically gifted and entertaining fighters in UFC history — Yoel "Soldier of God" Romero, card #62 from 2014 Topps UFC Knockout, numbered 044/219. Only 219 copies of this card exist. 2014 Topps UFC Knockout is one of the most iconic early UFC card sets ever produced, and this numbered parallel is a serious collector's piece. The design is dark and dramatic: the deep charcoal grey background with bold geometric diamond and octagon pattern cut-outs in silver, the UFC logo top left in white, and "ROMERO" in bold chrome in the silver nameplate at the bottom. The serial number 044/219 is stamped directly on the front of the card. The photo is absolutely iconic — Romero on his knees mid-Octagon, both gloved hands clasped together in prayer, looking up to the heavens, the Octagon cage fence behind him, wearing his legendary "BUY MY AUTOGRAPH" shorts. A card that perfectly captures the personality and theatrics of one of MMA's most beloved characters.

Olympic silver medallist. UFC middleweight legend.

As the back of this card puts it: "A 2000 Silver medalist in wrestling for Cuba, Yoel Romero's ground game has already earned him more than a few accolades. But it was his striking that earned him knockouts in his first two UFC fights in 2013, as he finished off Clifford Starks with a flying knee that kicked off his UFC career in style in April, and then halted Ronny Markes in November." Romero went on to become one of the most feared middleweights in UFC history, challenging for the title multiple times and delivering some of the most spectacular knockouts the division has ever seen. This 2014 Topps Knockout numbered parallel is a vintage piece of UFC card history.
